Pierre Garcon a Facebook és a Twitter oldalán bejelentette, hogy a Washington Redskins csapatához szerződik. Garcon négy évig játszott az Indianapolis Colst csapatában. Lejárt a szerződése, így hivatalosan nem a nagytakarítás részét képzi. UFA játékos volt, így szabadon tárgyalhatott más csapattal. A Colts nem kap érte kompenzációt. Négy év alatt 2.519 elkapott yardot és 16 touchdownt szerzett.
